the act of "i don't give a fxxk"

we had exam coming up in a less than a hour but can't help to talk about the hot news, the suicide of a kpop idol.

"and so what? i don't give a fxxk" he said.

i was like, woah, that was mean.

"sorry"

i actually confused that he said sorry. i mean, if he really don't give a fxxk, he doesn't have to say sorry. he sound sincere. but he don't care. what is happening here?

i think there are two type of people:
1. the one who really don't give a fxxk
2. the one who said they don't give a fxxk

i am the type 1.
he is the type 2.

this just my hypothesis, it could be wrong. feel free to correct me.

type 1. if they don't care about something, that something is simply doesn't exist anymore. no word saying "i don't care about xxx". that 'xxx' is simply doesn't exist for type 1.

type 2. the type that keep saying they don't care.

question. if you don't care, why wasting your time for saying that you don't care?

in conclusion, i think he did care about this issue. and he sincerely say sorry. which was good because if there's anyone in class that have suicidal thought and heard what he said, it might trigger them in one way or another.
